My Journey as a Professional Writer (Condensed Version)

I am Cecille. I am a writer. Below is what I wrote back in January 3, 2018. I was 25.

My jobs as a writer.Ever since graduating from College. I have always wanted to work for TV and film. After graduating college with a degree in Communication Arts. I initially wanted to take English Language. Honestly, my college life would have been much happier because I cant jive with most of the students in my year. I have met my closest and kindred spirits in that year but they are only a few. Anyway...I got a job as sort of an online 'staff writer' for a church acquaintance...

It just stopped there. I am now writing this now February 1, 2020. Nighttme 10:27 PM, totally tired and wanting to go to sleep. If I stop right now you'll probably know why. But I am now 27, just a couple of years wiser. Analyzing my writing above, I guess I had a goal of writing a longer article, writing my journey as a writer starting as a staff writer for a church (never actually happened by the way). My first experience of writing is back as a young teenager, probably 12, writing stories, had a goal of writing a novel, about teenage superheroes. I threw the manuscript a la Stephen King but without the wife to rescue it from the trash. Fast forward to 2020, I am now a TV writer and producer for a local broadcast network that started their business back in 2016. I worked their since December 2017 so according to date, I would have mentioned about this job in the article. I imagine that article boasting my success of finally becoming a TV writer. And guess what, being a writer/researcher/producer/director for two years already (as of 2020) isn't too shabby. My greatest achievement would be that one of my shows became a finalist on the 27th KBP Golden Dove Awards back in July of 2019. Yes, I would probably talk about 20 years from now if people asked what is my greatest achievement in my early career.

However, even though I finally have the title, here I am, on a Saturday night getting back to online writing. A title and achievement is great, but a higher raise makes my world go around.

Fun Facts about Treasure Planet, Disney's Best Animated Deep Cut

Treasure Planet is my all-time favorite Disney deep cut. Adapted from the classic Robert Louis Stevenson's classic, it is one of those underrated Disney gems that hold some interesting facts. The movie has the record for the most expensive traditional animated film because of its extensive use of Disney's Deep Canva technique. According to Retrojunk.com is the technique that "allows a two-dimensional character to move freely through a painterly 3-dimensional computer-generated environment." The animated film was such a passion project for Ron Clements and John Musker, two of Disney's most successful Disney directors and legends. For Treasure Planet, they waited years to make it. They pitched the movie before making The Little Mermaid, Hercules, and Aladdin. When their then-boss still did not give them the green light to make the movie as promised, they angrily went to the higher-ups, and that's when they got their wish. Another fun fact is that they based Ji...
