The History of Bicycles

Vehicles for human transport that have two wheels and require balancing by the rider date back to the early 19th century. The first means of transport making use of two wheels arranged consecutively, and thus the archetype of the bicycle, was the German draisine dating back to 1817. The term bicycle was coined in France in the 1860s, and the descriptive title "penny farthing", used to describe an "Ordinary Bicycle", is a 19th-century term. Early Bicycles  There are several early, but unverified claims for the invention of the bicycle. A sketch from around 1500 AD is attributed to Gian Giacomo Caprotti, a pupil of Leonardo da Vinci, but it was described by Hans-Erhard Lessing in 1998 as a purposeful fraud. However, the authenticity of the bicycle sketch is still vigorously maintained by followers of Prof. Augusto Marinoni, a lexicographer and philologist, who was entrusted by the Commissione Vinciana of Rome with the transcription of Leonardo's Codex Atlanticus...

My Journey as a Professional Writer (Condensed Version)

I am Cecille. I am a writer. Below is what I wrote back in January 3, 2018. I was 25.  My jobs as a writer. Ever since graduating from College. I have always wanted to work for TV and film.  After graduating college with a degree in Communication Arts. I initially wanted to take English Language. Honestly, my college life would have been much happier because I cant jive with most of the students in my year. I have met my closest and kindred spirits in that year but they are only a few.  Anyway... I got a job as sort of an online 'staff writer' for a church acquaintance... It just stopped there. I am now writing this now February 1, 2020. Nighttme 10:27 PM, totally tired and wanting to go to sleep. If I stop right now you'll probably know why. But I am now 27, just a couple of years wiser. Analyzing my writing above, I guess I had a goal of writing a longer article, writing my journey as a writer starting as a staff writer for a church (never actually happened by t...

Facebook Musings: Short Review of the ending of NBC's The Good Place

Got totally inspired by The Good Place ending. LOL. I know that The Good Place isn't a Christian TV show. The creators write the show after Greek philosophies. But reading about the Christian heaven/after life is a whole lot better than the one in the tv show. To justify, the TV show is more about living than the afterlife so it's a really good show. I can't wait to have a better afterlife in Christian life in heaven which means I have to change my mindset here on Earth . Read the article: " Heaven's Anything But Boring" to know what I'm talking about.
